At paspective we have an advanced dedicated server with WP Engine, who are specifically tailored to host WordPress websites, the CMS we use for all our custom web builds.
So the server your site runs on is fully optimised for WordPress sites, and specifically catered to the types of plugins and setup that WordPress provides.
So what does this mean for you and your website? It means less chance of anything breaking or not working correctly, plugins update seamlessly, alerts when plugins or themes are vulnerable to a break or hack and correct memory allocation for functions to run smoothly.
There are 3 main benefits to using our hosting – support, security and speed, each of which I will delve into more below:
Support
WP Engine offer a dedicated 24/7 technical support service, with an instant response. So if you ever have an issue or any urgent request, it can be resolved quickly. We offer the option to set you up with your own admin area on the hosting server or we can manage this our end.
With ourselves and WP Engine being experts in WordPress sites means there is very little we wouldn’t have seen before so will be able to find solutions to issues even outside of the hosting itself.
Security
Our hosting offers the best possible security with an SSL certificate included. Daily backups are carried out every morning on the server, with up to 30 days worth of backups. So you can rest assured, should the worst happen and the site goes down or crashes for any reason it be can be instantly restored back to a previous version.
The server itself is protected with a dedicated firewall, daily malware scans and automatic updates are carried out across the server, the WordPress core and any plugins or themes. If anything should ever break (very rare if at all), we will be instantly notified and any issues will be swiftly resolved.
Speed
The server is setup specifically for WordPress files, meaning everything is streamlined and memory is allocated to the correct functions that require it. Other servers may just allow default memory site wide, which can cause certain functions to run slow or even crash due to memory limits.
Being on a dedicated server means that the sites on there are limited to only a handful and so there won’t be large amounts of files or large traffic spikes slowing your site down.
WP Engine also offers superior built-in caching so that once someone visits your site any files or resources won’t need to load twice for them, making everything run a lot quicker. This also means other third party caching plugins aren’t required also that could clog up your site, charge extra, or not work correctly.
